Torwood House is ideally situated on West Cliff Road, Broadstairs. We have stunning cliff-top views at the end of the road, and we are just a three minute walk from Viking Bay.

The main shopping area of Broadstairs is five minutes away (High St on the map above), accessed by a pleasant stroll along Victoria Parade overlooking Viking Bay.

Albion Street, which leads down into Harbour Street and the Pier, is lined with Curio and Gift Shops and Restaurants offering everything from Indian and Italian to Mexican and Traditional English Fish and Chips. There are several good pubs on Albion Street.

How to Find Us

Directions by road from the M25:

  Leave the M25 at Junction 2, joining the A2/M2 Eastbound

  Follow the A2/M2 until Junction 7, then take the A299 following signs for Ramsgate

  On approaching Ramsgate, drive through the village of Cliffsend, passing the Jentex company on the left hand side of the road

  At the roundabout, follow signs for Ramsgate (A299). Note: Do not follow the sign for Broadstairs at this point, as this takes you to a different part of Broadstairs

  At the next roundabout, take the first left exit and follow signs for Ramsgate (A299), also signposted "Ferry Terminal"

  At the next roundabout, go almost straight over, following the sign for Ramsgate Town Centre (A255)

  At the next roundabout, go almost straight over again, following the sign for Ramsgate Town Centre (B2054) onto London Road

  At the end of London Road, at the roundabout, turn right following signs for Ferry Terminal and Westcliff (B2054)

  Follow the road as it winds down towards Ramsgate Harbour

  At the Harbour, the road passes the Royal pub on the left before it winds up a steep incline, past a waterfall and onto Wellington Crescent

  Follow Wellington Crescent around until you pass the Granville Theatre on your right

  Travel approximately 400m straight on past the Granville Theatre, until you reach the turning for Winterstoke Crescent on your left

  Turn left into Winterstoke Crescent and follow it for 50 metres , turning left into Winterstoke Way at the top

  At the end of Winterstoke Way, turn right and follow the road for around 1 km, until it turns into Dumpton Park Drive

  When the road meets West Cliff Road, turn left into West Cliff Road and Torwood House is on the right, recognisable by its turquiose door and B'n'B sign.

Parking

There is free on-street parking on West Cliff Road

Directions by Rail

There are good rail links from London via Ashford and Canterbury, or via Faversham, Whitstable, Herne Bay and Margate

There is also a direct link from Folkestone and Dover to Broadstairs station.

Travel to London and Kent

We are a few minutes walk from Broadstairs station with direct links to London, Ashford and Canterbury, Dover and Folkestone, Herne Bay and Whitstable to name but a few.

National Express operates a regular service from Broadstairs to London.

Travel to France

Broadstairs is an excellent base for a trip to France, being just 30 minutes from the major Ferry terminal at Dover and around 50 minutes from the Channel Tunnel terminal at Folkestone. The Channel Tunnel journey, once embarked, takes just half an hour.
